The text of this bachelor´s thesis describes designing a construction of electric guitar combo. The first part of the project deals with history of guitar amplifiers and theory of design of individual components. The second part includes actual designs of guitar effect units (fuzz and tremolo), correction preamplifier, power amplifier with integrated circuit TDA7293V, power supplies for all components and choice of speakers for guitar combo. All effect units and preamplifier are also simulated in PSpice. In the last part there are results of measurements of all components and the whole combo.
Class D power amplifier 2x 2 kW with switching power supply
Tylich, Ondřej ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
The content of this thesis is a complete design of an amplifier working in class D, including a theoretical analysis. The thesis describes the functions of individual amplifier function blocks. The appropriate Class D amplifier topology is selected for the application. The design of the amplifier must correspond to the required power of 2x 2 kW to 4. The necessary calculations are performed to ensure the correct function of the amplifier. For reliability, it is necessary to select suitable terminal transistors. The thesis is a theoretical analysis of power supplies. Subsequently, a source with a suitable topology is designed, which will be designed to power the amplifier in class D. All necessary parameters are calculated, especially the power parts. The thesis deals with the design and complete implementation of the entire amplifier, starting with the design of the PCB and their production, subsequent installation, and recovery. After ensuring the function of all parts of the amplifier, various measurements are performed.
Design and Realization of Input and Output Circuits of AD and DA Converters for Audio Signal Processing
Stejskal, Tomáš ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis aims at designing the circuit diagram of input and output circuits of analog to digital and, simultaneously, digital to analog convertors intended to process audio signals and their realization. The introductory theoretical part deals with the qualitative requirements concerning the way low-frequency audio amplifiers process audio signal. The following part focuses on the active component base selection with respect to the achievement of the required quality and parameters as defined in the task description. The next part comprises the design of the input and output amplifier circuit diagram itself and then the realization of their functional samples. The input amplifier provides some of the functions which are common with high quality sound production; such as attenuator activation, input signal phase inversion, and MUTE function. This amplifier consists of three logically sequenced parts. A preamplifier with approximately 60 dB amplification and with high separation between a useful signal and noise stands for the first part; a high-pass filter that suppresses interfering signals stands for the second part; and an output amplifier ensuring the balanced output for the analog to digital convertor stands for the last part. The output amplifier, which is connected to the digital to analog convertor, is also embraced of three logically sequenced parts. The first one includes the input amplifier which transforms the input balanced signal to the unbalanced one. The second part is created of an output amplifier that has the line level balanced output.
UHF band front-end of quadrature receiver
Tiller, Jakub ; Špaček, Jiří (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
The object of this master's thessis is study and description of RF circuits, which are used for receiveing. This work is also aimed to design this circuits and their simulation in Ansoft Designer software. Focus is placed to the standard parameters of receiving technology. The description of amplifier design is presented in this work. Parameters of this amplifier are optimalized to low noise figure. Frequency multiplier designs are included in this project.
Tube headphone amplifier with USB DAC as an input
Rozkopal, Tomáš ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Vlček, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on transferring of sound through USB bus. There is analysed a principal of the bus, it´s physical properties and a description of information transmission. Behaviour of the end point is described on an example of an audio device. The second part of the thesis describes demands on digital/analogue converters, their attributes such as resolution, speed of conversion and signal to noise ratio. Furthermore there are described two basic conversions between digital and analogue conversion. The third part of the thesis analyses a principal of tubes and explains a principal of vacuum diode, triode, tetrode and pentode. The individual types of tubes are supplemented by currently produced types and brief descriptions of their use in a circuit. Possible solutions of designing data transfer between a computer and an end point are discussed in the fourth part of the thesis. Different available microcontrollers are compared. The design continues with solving a problem with connecting a DA converter using I2S bus and there is also designed DA converter with voltage output. Demands for analogue filter and numerically derived main assumptions for end amplifier are explained in the final part of the thesis. Tube filter low - pass type is designed and possible solution of an end amplifier is discussed.
Portable music player
Rozsíval, Adam ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with the project of a portable music player with an amplifier in the class D. The device is powered up by connected power supply unit, eventually by built-in accumulator. Audio signal is played by bluetooth module, sound card or headphone output. Switching inputs and power supply of the accumulator is managed by a micro-controller. A correction equalizer for sound control is also embedded in the booster. All peripheries are put into a wooden baffle board. The sound is reproduced by a pair of loudspeakers.
Design of class-D audio power amplifier
Fiala, Roman ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This semestral thesis describes class D low frequency power amplifiers and design of specific 2x100W class D power amplifier. The designed amplifier contains a second order sigma-delta modulator in which the quantization is controlled only by the delay of modulator components. This design does not include the clock generator which usually controls the quantization in sigma-delta modulators. This semestral thesis also includes design of a switched-mode power supply for the power amplifier and for the preamplifier. The PSpice program has been used for the design and verification of some sections of circuits. All designs have been built. Also basic parameters of completed circuits were measured.
LNA for the APT signals receiver
Žúrek, Dan ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Baran, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with design, realization and optimization of the LNA (Lownoise amplifier) for receiving of APT signals from the NOAA weather satellites in 137 MHz – 138 MHz frequency band. The first part of this work is aimed on critical parameters of the amplifier and the filter circuits especially on a noise figure and a high selectivity. The next part of this project is about the particular concept and simulation of LNA by using the Ansoft Designer software. The printed circuit board is realized in the Cadsoft Eagle. The final part of this bachelor thesis is dealing with a production of such amplifier together with its measurement and testing in a real operation of receiving APT signals.
